OpenAI Launches Deployment Company and Moves to Acquire Tomoro
OpenAI launched a deployment-focused company and agreed to acquire Tomoro, saying the new unit will embed forward deployed engineers into organisations building production AI systems.

OpenAI announced the OpenAI Deployment Company on 11 May, describing it as a new company to help organisations build and deploy AI systems around important work.
The company also said it had agreed to acquire Tomoro, an applied AI consulting and engineering firm, bringing about 150 forward deployed engineers and deployment specialists into the new effort from day one.
OpenAI said the deployment company is majority-owned and controlled by OpenAI and will launch with more than $4 billion of initial investment.
