Google Cloud Opens a Managed MCP Bridge for Enterprise Agents
Google Cloud detailed a remote MCP server for Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, giving external AI agents a governed route into cloud models, prompts, notebooks and deployment resources.

Google Cloud published technical guidance on 30 June for using the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform remote MCP server to connect external AI agents to resources inside a Google Cloud environment.
The company says the server can let agents running from external tools such as Antigravity CLI or Claude Code call models from Model Garden, retrieve shared prompt templates, manage Colab Enterprise notebooks and interact with Agent Platform resources from an IDE.
Google positions the feature as an open-standards bridge rather than a proprietary-only agent channel. The announcement says agents remain compliant with the Model Context Protocol, while Agent Registry provides central discovery and Cloud IAM Deny policies can limit which Google Cloud resources external frameworks may reach.
Google Cloud documentation lists MCP toolset endpoints for generation, prediction, notebooks, model endpoints, model registry, tuning, evaluation and prompt management, with regional endpoint variants for multiple Google Cloud regions.
