AWS used its 8 June roundup to highlight infrastructure updates that matter to enterprise migration and edge development, including BYOM for Amazon RDS for SQL Server and the AWS IoT Device SDK for Swift reaching general availability.
The SQL Server update is aimed at customers moving workloads from on-premises environments while reusing existing Microsoft licences through License Mobility. The Swift IoT SDK extends production-ready MQTT 5, Device Shadow, Jobs and fleet provisioning support across Apple platforms and Linux.
